Our Community Marketing Liaison and Volunteer Coordinator, Leslie Hennessey, was on MassAppeal on December 10th to discuss our Hospice Light Up A Life campaign and gift wrapping at the Holyoke Mall. Leslie did a great job!

ARS Restoration Specialist Donates Fleece Blankets to Hospice Life Care

ARS Restoration Specialist of Springfield MA held their annual Winter Wonderland Party at the Holyoke Merry-Go Round on Dec. 4th and Hospice Life Care was the grateful recipient of their generosity. Each guest was asked to bring a new fleece throw to donate to a Hospice Life Care patient. Over 75 new fleece throws were collected, and the hospice team has been busy delivering them to their very grateful patients.
Thank you ARS, and all of your "holiday helpers!"

Honor Flight

In Honor of our Veteran's Day and all those who are serving, and have served, our country
The Holyoke Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Life Care has partnered with The Soldiers' Home in Holyoke, Holyoke Community College and the George G. Clarke Holyoke VFW Post 801 to purchase the rights to present the heartwarming documentary Honor Flight to the public.

The movie will be shown on the big screen at HCC's Leslie Phillips Theater in the college's Fine and Performing Arts Building during a free public showing on November 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Honor Flight (http://www.honorflightthemovie.com) is an 80-minute feature length film that chronicles four living World War II veterans and a Midwest community that came together to give them the trip of a lifetime - a flight to Washington, D.C., to see the memorial constructed for them in 2004, nearly 60 years after their epic struggle.

Please save November 7 on your calendar and make plans today to see this incredible movie. The movie is free, but, for our planning purposes, we are asking you to reserve a seat by going to the movie's reservation Web site at www.tugg.com/events/5101. We want to make the movie showing as special as possible for our Veterans attending, including food and refreshments and guest speakers, not to mention a rousing and spirited welcome for all Veteran attendees.

Please call Leslie Hennessey at (413) 322-1281 with any questions
